West Slope Startup Week’s music initiative is to serve as a platform to highlight the Grand Valley’s incredible music scene, while raising needed funds for the many artists who have suffered financial hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative will also serve as a vehicle to introduce Grand Junction’s Creative’s Landing, its home and artist / community enrichment offerings.

THE SHOW

Thursday, July 30 from 7:30 – 9:00 PM

The show will involve virtual Mini Desk vignettes, followed by a Singer Songwriter Round and Headliner. The music will be accompanied by an art gallery with a percentage of proceeds going to the Grand Valley Music Relief Fund.

GRAND VALLEY MUSIC RELIEF FUND

The music relief fund will be seeded by corporate sponsorship dollars and public donations. All funds will be awarded to artists in the Grand Valley who have suffered financial hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic. Artists are encouraged to submit applications for stimulus consideration. The process will be equal, fair and 100% transparent. All funds will flow through the Grand Junction Economic Partnership and public donations will be accepted through a certified GoFundMe account.
The application deadline is August 28th at 5PM MST.
